As God’s people, we are commanded to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, …” Matthew 28:19a. This passage of Scripture is commonly referred to as “The Great Commission.” This would include a dedication to evangelism, whether it’s across the street or across the seas. But, the real emphasis here is on Christian Discipleship. When you think about it, Jesus never referred to His words in Matthew’s gospel as “The Great Commission.” Of course, there’s a “greatness” to everything Jesus commands. However, what we refer to as “great” might be better understood as something quite “ordinary” that the true follower of Christ Jesus has the “great” privilege of carrying-out. That is why Stone of Help Haiti places Christian Discipleship at the heart of everything we purpose to do in Jesus’ Name.
The end of July marks the close of another fiscal year for Stone of Help Haiti. Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support for all God continues to do through SoHH’s efforts in Christian Discipleship as well as actions in Health and Education.
It’s heartbreaking on many levels to witness such extreme and widespread hardship throughout the land. The needs among the Haitian people are numerous and ever increasing. Just know that your contributions are truly making a godly difference, both spiritually and practically, in the lives of many. Please pray God’s wisdom as we seek Him in prioritizing for the next fiscal year. And if the Lord lays it on your heart, I humbly ask that you support Stone of Help Haiti a bit extra this month so that we might increase God’s kingdom work this next fiscal year.
Thank you for giving to Stone of Help Haiti as we, together, serve Haiti for the cause of Christ.
